Xbox One Console: What’s New?
The Xbox One is a new generation of home entertainment system from Microsoft. It was released on November 22nd 2013, with two models: the standard model (the base unit) and the premium model (a higher-end version). The console features an 8-core AMD processor running at 2.3 GHz, 1 GB RAM, a 500GB hard drive and Blu Ray optical drive. It comes with a Kinect sensor, which allows users to interact with their consoles using voice commands or gestures.
The Xbox One is compatible with both DVD and Blu-Ray discs. The console supports up to four controllers, all of them are wireless and have built-in microphones. There is no disc drive included in the box but it can be purchased separately for $50 USD.
Microsoft also announced that they will release a special edition of the Xbox One called the “Project Scorpio”. The console will feature an 8-core AMD processor running at 3.2 GHz, 4 GB RAM, a 1 TB hard drive and Blu Ray optical drive. It will cost $499 USD.
The console is set to release in 2018.
