It’s a naturally occurring amino acid found in meats such as beef liver, chicken livers, turkey livers, pork liver and fish liver. Zinc: is an essential mineral that is very important to proper thyroid function. It is required for the production of the TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone). A deficeincy of Zinc can cause a decrease in the activity of the thyroid gland.
Iodine: is an element necessary for the production of the thyroid hormones thyroxine and triiodothyronine. A deficiency of iodine can cause inhibition of the production of these hormones.
Selenium: is an important trace element that works synergistically with iodine in the production of triiodothyronine and thyroxine. It also functions as an antioxidant in the body and protects cells from free radical damage.
Tyramine: is found in many foods such as aged cheeses, cured meats, beer, yeast extracts and others. An excess of tyramine can increase the production of noradrenaline and cause an overproduction of adrenaline. This may lead to an overactive thyroid.
Pantothenic Acid: is a type of vitamin B that is important for many metabolic functions in your body. It is required for the synthesis of hormones such as thyroxine and cortisol.
