Best Tarps – What are they?
The word “best” in the title of this post refers to the most comfortable and durable products. For example, if you have a hard time sleeping on your back because it’s cold or wet, then you want something that will keep you warm and dry. If you like to sleep on your side so that when you wake up, your face is facing forward, then a good quality quilt would be ideal for you.
If you’re looking for something lightweight, but still provide warmth and protection from the elements, then a down bag might be what you need. A down bag will keep your body temperature relatively low while keeping your core temperatures warm enough to stay comfortable. They do not offer the same level of insulation as a quilt or mummy bag, but they are lighter and less expensive than other options.
What makes a product “best”? Is it how much weight it holds, or its durability?
These are subjective questions, and there isn’t one answer to them. There are many factors that go into making these decisions. You’ll see some examples of each type of product in our reviews.
For us, the key criteria is comfort and durability. If we wouldn’t use it, we won’t sell it. Let our staff experts help you make the right decision today!

Hilleberg Tents has a long history of making some of the most durable and comfortable tents money can buy. The Nallo 3 tent is no exception. This three-season, three-wall design is made to keep you comfortable in the great outdoors. It comes with enough attachment points to accommodate a porch or vestibule setup (sold separately), has two doors, and includes additional storage pockets inside the tent.
Our selection of sleeping bags offer comfort and warmth while spending quality time in the outdoors. If you’re an avid camper or backpacker, a good quality sleeping bag will keep you much warmer than a cheap bag. And there are options out there for every season. Spring and fall, they keep you warm at night while allowing excess heat to escape.
In the summer, they help keep nighttime chills away so you can get a restful sleep.
A good air mattress is an absolute must for any camper or outdoor enthusiast. They’re incredibly comfortable compared to the standard wood or folding table, and they offer some padding for those uneven surfaces. Our air mattresses are made with durability and comfort in mind. Unlike some other options, our air mattresses don’t have a “break in” period where the firmness decreases.
They’re ready for use right out of the box.
