Best Budget Treadmill For Walking?

The best budget treadmill for walking is not necessarily the one which costs a lot, but rather it’s the one which suits your needs and lifestyle. You may want to have a machine with many features at your disposal, or you may prefer something simple and easy to use. If you are looking for a cheap treadmill for walking then you should definitely consider the Nordicool Vario Pro.

Nordicool Vario Pro Review: Features And Specifications

The Nordicool Vario Pro is a treadmill which offers several different features at its disposal. One of these features is the ability to automatically adjust the incline of the machine according to your personal preference.

Another feature includes automatic speed control. The manufacturer claims that this feature will make it possible for you to walk faster than if you were using manual controls.

Another interesting feature of the Nordicool Vario Pro is the fact that it comes with a built-in speaker system. This allows you to listen to music while exercising.

It also allows you to play games on your smartphone or tablet when working out.

As far as specifications go, the manufacturer claims that this model is compatible with most modern smartphones and tablets. However, there are some devices which do not support such features so you might need to buy a separate adapter cable for them.

As far as safety is concerned, this treadmill comes with handrails and also features a special “stop” button which is located underneath one of your feet (thereby making it impossible to activate the controls by mistake). Finally, the Nordicool Vario Pro is foldable, which makes it easy to store and transport the device if necessary.

Nordicool Vario Pro Treadmill Customer Reviews

The Nordicool Vario Pro does not seem to be available at online merchants in the US. It is however available on some European websites like, where it has been reviewed by several independent customers.

The average customer rating for this treadmill is 4.2 stars out of a possible 5.

Most people seem to be pleased with the speed, incline and quality of the device. However, some customers have complained about the speakers being too weak to produce sound properly when playing music or games. In fact, some customers even state that the speakers are not working at all. It should be noted though that these complaints are in the minority (less than 10%).

A New Model Of The Nordicool Vario Pro?

As mentioned earlier, the Nordicool Vario Pro is no longer sold in the US. However, there may be a new model available at some point in the near future. There are several pictures of this machine available at and it appears that it has all of the same features as the original version.

In terms of differences, it seems that the new model has a more appealing design. The manufacturer claims that it is now possible to fold the treadmill in only 1 second.

This means that storage and transportation will be significantly easier. It also has a built-in fan which can apparently be used to play games which are displayed on your tablet or smartphone (this was not possible with the previous model). As far as pricing is concerned, currently sells this model for €999.

If you are interested in the new model of the Nordicool Vario Pro, you can pre-order it on the manufacturer’s website. They state that delivery will be free and should take place during the month of January 2019.

Alternatives To The Nordicool Vario Pro

As far as folding treadmills are concerned, the Nordicool Vario Pro is somewhat of an expensive piece of equipment. There are cheaper options available which may appeal to you more if you do not plan on using your treadmill very often.

The Confidence Fitness Compact treadmill is significantly cheaper but is not foldable. It can be stored away though by being flipped upside-down (the running deck goes on the floor when not in use).

It has an average rating of 4.2 stars on Amazon and comes with a range of interesting features including a fans, Bluetooth connectivity and an MP3 input.

If you are mainly looking for a folding treadmill, there is another device available which may interest you. The Confidence Fitness Flex Pro is currently priced at around €350 at

It has the same height, width and length dimensions as the original Nordicool Vario Pro. It is not foldable however.

It should be noted that both Confidence Fitness models are considered to be “cheap” treadmills. This means that they do not have a strong build quality and are not suitable for more demanding use (e.g heavier individuals, longer periods of use).

Do not expect an easy to use device with programmable features and built-in speakers. These treadmills are basic tools for low-intensity cardiovascular training. In any case, this is something you should keep in mind before you make a final decision.
