Best Media Storage Cabinet: What Is It?
The most common type of media storage cabinet is the standard model. These are made from wood or metal and have drawers, shelves, doors and other features. They’re usually large enough to hold all your CDs, DVDs and VHS tapes neatly stacked up. There’s no need to worry about them falling over when you open it; they’ll stay put if you don’t move anything around.
There are several models available depending on what kind of music you want to store. Some come with built-in speakers, some don’t.
You may even get a DVD player inside the cabinet so you can watch movies while you work.
Some of these cabinets come with built-in CD players, which means there’s no need to buy extra ones just for playing CDs. Other models allow you to connect external drives such as hard disks or solid state drives (SSDs).
Another option is to use a TV stand or shelf. These units will hold your discs upright so they won’t fall off when you lift them out of the cabinet.
If you have a lot of CDs, then this might be worth considering.
If you want something that’s small enough to fit into a closet but still big enough to hold your collection, then you could consider one of those shelving units like the one pictured above. They come in all shapes and sizes.

Finally, if you have a lot of vinyl records then you’ll need a record cabinet. These usually come with doors and shelves made from wood or MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard).
Most units have space for between 150 and 300 LPs.
