Laptop Stand For Desk:
The laptop stand for desk is one of the most popular type of laptop stands. They are used mainly for laptops which have no keyboard or touchpad. These types of laptops usually do not require much space on your desktop. However, these types of laptops may still need some extra support when they are placed on a table top or other surface with flat surfaces.
In addition, there are also many different types of laptop stands. Some of them are designed specifically for use on the floor while others are designed to work well even if they fall off a table. There is also another category called “stand” which refers to any kind of stand at all.
There are several factors which will affect the overall performance of your laptop stand. You should take into consideration such things as how stable it is, whether it supports its own weight, and so forth. If you want to get the most out of your laptop stand then you must consider all these factors before buying one.
How To Choose A Good Laptop Stand?
The first thing you need to do is to decide what exactly you need a laptop stand for.
Do you want to use it while you are lying down on the floor or do you just want to use it as a laptop support on a table?
Both these things are completely different from each other and this means that you will need to buy a laptop stand that suits your needs.
It is important to remember that not all laptop stands are created equal. There are different types of them including; single level stands, dual level stands and even triple level stands.
You will also need to choose between a foldable laptop stand and a non-foldable one.
While you may appreciate the flexibility that comes with having a foldable laptop stand, they are much more likely to be damaged when compared to the non-foldable ones.
As an owner of a laptop you need to ensure that you get the very best out of it.
You can do this by engaging in proper maintenance of your laptop and also by ensuring that you give it a stable surface on which to place it when in use.
A laptop stand is one such item which can be used to provide a stable support for your laptop.
There are different types of stands which provide their own benefits.
One of the most common types of stands is the one that you use on a flat surface such as a table.
You can also get laptop stands for your bed, car or even your lap!
The choice is ultimately up to you and the exact purpose for which you want to use it.
The different types of stands come with their own pros and cons.
By going through this buying guide you will gain a better understanding of what to look out for and which laptop stand is best suited to your needs.

A laptop stand is, as the name suggests, a stand designed specifically for laptops.
These stands come in all shapes and sizes.
Some of them are portable while others remain stationary.

There are different types of stands for laptops which we will be going through in the next section. Let’s take a look.
Types Of Laptop Stands
There are different types of laptop stands available on the market today. Let’s take a look at some of the most common types:
Sleek, lightweight and modern Looking for a stand that can enhance the visual appeal of your laptop?
If yes then this type of stand is the perfect choice for you. These stands are specifically designed to complement the design and style of newer laptops that have a very sleek and modern aesthetic. These stands come in a simple rectangular shape and have rubber grips on the bottom to prevent them from slipping and moving. What’s best about these stands is that they are very affordable. Because of their simplicity there isn’t much that goes into the making of these stands, this is why they are available at such low prices.
These stands can be used to hold laptops of all sizes and can provide extra height for your laptop if needed.
Because of the soft rubber used in their construction, these stands are very easy to attach and remove from your laptop. Just push in slightly to clip it into place and pull it off by gripping the top of the stand.
There are some compatibility issues with these stands, depending on the model of your laptop. So make sure to do your research beforehand.
Pros : Affordable
Doesn’t obstruct the aesthetic of your laptop
Can provide a comfortable viewing angle for your laptop
Bottom grips prevent the stand from moving Cons : Might not be compatible with all models of laptops
Stability issues if not clipped on properly 9. Cooling Fan Laptop Stand This is another very interesting and unique design. This type of stand has a fan built right into it. The whole idea is to make sure that your laptop never overheats while in use.
These stands come in two different types.
The first type has a fan right at the bottom. This means that when you place your laptop on the stand, the fan will be blowing directly onto it.
The second type has a slightly different design. The fan is built into a platform at the top of the stand and works by circulating air from below the whole thing and out through the fan.
These stands are pretty expensive, but this is because the technology used in their construction is quite advanced.
Pros : Effective at cooling down your laptop
Can prevent your laptop from overheating
Doesn’t take up much space on your desk Cons : Very expensive
Not compatible with all models of laptops

They can also provide extra space between you and your computer screen especially if you suffer from dry eye or related conditions.
These stands are pretty cheap and come in a simple A-frame design. The legs can be adjusted to raise your laptop to the desired height.

The Best Laptop Brands: Top 10 Rankings
So you’re looking to buy a new laptop?
Maybe you want to play those addictive flash games at a settings higher than “Crawl”. Or maybe you just want to watch full screen HD movies on your favorite media site. Well, whatever your intentions, there are a lot of laptop manufacturers out there and some of them make better laptops than others. In this article I give you the top ten rankings for laptop manufacturers. But before we begin, here are a few rules and guidelines:
This list is for DESKTOP LAPTOPS ONLY. Sorry netbook and tablet owners. Those devices have their own unique strengths and weaknesses that I will cover in another article. When I say a manufacturer is better than another, it is based on three things: Reliability, customer service, and hardware quality.
I will rate each laptop manufacturer based on those three standards. Manufacturer’s that sell both laptops and desktops may be ranked separately since their laptops and desktops are often manufactured by different companies and may have different strengths and weaknesses. This is my personal opinion. If you disagree, that’s fine. Make your voice known in the comments section or write your own article telling me I’m an idiot.
Also remember that laptop manufacturers often change their names. For example, Hewlett Packard only recently changed their name from the rather boring Hewlett Packard. Some people still refer to the company as Hewlett Packard, while others call it HP. For this article, I will refer to the company as the manufacturer of the specific laptops I am ranking, not the overall company.
Alright, let’s begin.
10. ASUSI used to own an Asus laptop and it was a piece of crap. I bought my laptop in 2006 and by 2008 the motherboard had died. It had problems with overheating, often alarming me with a “components overheating” warning despite the fact that I had placed pans of ice below it to try to cool it down.
The CD drive also died frequently and I never got the webcam to work. My little sister also owned an Asus laptop and it too had motherboard problems. I can’t tell you how many people I know that have had Asus laptops and experienced the same problems. I also know people who have had great experiences with Asus, so it’s a bit of a gamble. Personally, I think there are better manufacturers out there.
ASUS makes many different lines of laptops. For this article, I am focusing on the Republic of Gamers line which is specifically targeted towards gamers. A lot of the laptops in this line are very expensive, but they come with a variety of nifty features. First of all, they are powerful gaming machines that can play the most demanding games on the market.
Second of all, they have features that gamers will appreciate. An example is their recorders that allow gamers to record game play for later viewing. They even have a keypad for strategic games like Starcraft. It’s a neat line, but given how much they cost, I’d say go for another manufacturer that’ll save you hundreds of dollars.
ASUS makes a lot of laptops and it seems like they’re always on sale at the campus bookstore. Most of their laptops are very reasonably priced and are comparable in quality to other manufacturers. One great thing about ASUS is that their laptops come with built-in Bluetooth. It would be nice if they had built-in WiFi as well, but it’s nice to not have to pay extra for it like you do with other manufacturers.
ASUS makes a lot of different series of laptops, but I’m going to focus on the G series which are made specifically for gaming. The thing that separates these laptops from other manufacturers is that these laptops come with special “gamer” keys. These keys include a key to record your game, a key to mute the microphone, etc. It’s a nice addition for gamers who play a lot and need instant access to these features. These laptops are great if you’re looking for a good gaming laptop on a budget.
These things are comparable to other laptops in their respective price range and they come with the added bonus of being able to play games without experiencing horrible lag or Other technical issues.
8. SamsungSamsung is a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to laptop quality. I own a Samsung netbook and I’ve had several friends with Samsung laptops and they’ve all had different experiences. My friend has a powerful Samsung gaming laptop and it works great, but another friend had a cheap Samsung that constantly froze and overheated.
As far as their series of laptops go, they’re OK. They don’t have too much variety as far as “special features” go, but they’re laptops are generally OK quality and fairly affordable.
Unfortunately, I don’t own any Samsung laptops so I can’t give you a first-hand account on them, but from what I’ve heard the quality is all over the place. Some people have told me that their Samsung laptops have lasted for years with no problems and others have told me that they’re complete garbage and will break within months. In short, it’s a gamble but generally they’re somewhere in the middle.
This concludes my guide to the Best Gaming Laptops of 2016. I hope you’ve been informed enough now to go out and buy yourself a laptop that won’t break your wallet and will still be able to play the games you want to play on it. My personal suggestions are any laptop from the 6th row. Any of those are great for gaming.
