These fish finders are really only worth it if you plan on fishing fairly often. If you just need something to pass the time every once in a while, there are cheaper alternatives that will still allow you to do the same thing.
It’s worth keeping in mind that these fish finders are by no means a necessity when it comes to fishing. You can still have just as much fun without one and if you just want one to toy around with from time to time then either of these models will work just fine.
