Garmin Forerunner 220 GPS Watch Review
The Garmin Forerunner 220 is one of the most popular watches among runners. It is not only a good runner’s watch but it also provides great value for money. For example, the price tag is very affordable at $199.99 (at time of writing).
That makes it quite comparable with other smartwatches like Apple Watch or Samsung Gear S2, both of which are priced around $299.99.
It is a well-designed device that comes with all the basic features required for everyday use. There are no gimmicks here, just reliable hardware and software. You will get notifications from your smartphone when they arrive, such as texts or calls.
You can easily view them on the screen of the watch itself or even through its built-in camera function. The watch supports heart rate monitoring too, so you don’t have to worry about fiddling around with wrist straps anymore!
You can also control music playback on your phone using the built-in speaker. If you want to do more than that though, then there are some additional apps available for download from the Google Play Store. These include Strava Run, MapMyRun and others.
All these features make it worth considering buying this watch if you’re looking for something simple and easy to use. Let’s get into the details.
The design of the watch is quite basic. It’s not too bulky and the overall weight is quite light at just 0.4 lbs.
You can feel the plastic casing on the band but it’s flexible enough to fit any wrist size. You can easily adjust it to any size you want and also securely lock it in place.
