Metal squares will require more maintenance than the others. Any metal can be susceptible to rust if not properly cared for so you’ll have to keep it oiled or clean it after use. Don’t leave it out in the rain or set it near a source of water.

Some of the best types are made from fiberglass. These are very durable and won’t break or chip like their wooden counterparts. The only issue you might have is with the edges becoming dull over time.
