The fourth and final step is to decide how you want to act in the situation. This may seem obvious, but a lot of the time when we are acting mindlessly, we don’t really think about how we are going to react. We just end up responding to situations on auto-pilot and not thinking about the choices that we are making.

Simply deciding how you want to act can help you a lot in daily life.

This may seem like a simple process, and it is. The hardest part is getting into the habit of reflecting on your actions. Once you get into the habit of doing it, it becomes second nature and you won’t even have to think about doing it.
