Navdy Heads Up Display (HUDS) – What Is Navdy?
The Navdy is a head up display system developed by Timpreme. It was launched in 2014. The navigation system allows users to view their location, speed, direction and other driving data while they are behind the wheel of any vehicle equipped with it. The system is compatible with all vehicles manufactured after 2013.
What Does Navdy Do?
It displays your current position, speed, heading and other driving data from the vehicle’s onboard GPS receiver. It does not require any additional hardware or software to work. It works on any device running Android 4.0 or later, iOS 8 or later and Windows Phone 7 or later devices.
How Does Navdy Work?
The Navdy uses a combination of satellite navigation signals and the vehicle’s internal GPS receiver to provide you with accurate directions. When you turn on the system, it connects to your vehicle’s built-in GPS unit and transmits its location information over the Internet. You can then use the Navigation App installed on your phone to access these features. Once connected, you will see a map of where you are located displayed on your phone screen. You can zoom in and out, move the map around and enter destination information such as addresses and Points of Interests (POIs). When you’re ready to go, the directions are shown on your phone so you can follow them on the heads-up display. You can also use voice commands to control many of the systems functions.
How Do I Use Navdy?
The Navdy is easy to set up and easy to use. All you need to do is:
Step 1: After confirming that your vehicle is compatible with the Navdy, all you have to do is mount it on your dashboard using the included mounts and power it on.
Step 2: The set-up process involves downloading the Navdy app for your phone and connecting to the device using Bluetooth (Your device must be Bluetooth-enabled). If you have a compatible phone, you can also connect to the Navdy through your phone’s WiFi.
Step 3: Once your Navdy is connected to your phone, you can access the menu and begin using it. You can type in an address or Point of Interest (POI), view maps and get turn-by-turn directions. The screen will display the information without blocking your view of the road. You can also use voice commands to find addresses and other POIs.
