Best Budget Computer Under $100: Garmin Edge 500 (GPS)

The Garmin Edge 500 is one of the most popular GPS bike computers. It is available in several models. The price range from $199 to $399. You can get it in either black or white color. If you are looking for a good value, then the Garmin Edge 500 may be just right for your needs.

It comes with a 1 year warranty.

You can use it as a regular bicycle computer. It works well for pedaling and riding around town. You don’t need to worry about charging it up every once in awhile when you have no internet connection. The battery lasts for at least 2 years if not longer. For those times when you do want to check the time, you can always charge it up again using the included USB cable which is very convenient!

The unit has a built-in screen which displays your current location and the map. You can view the map while riding. There is also a button on top of the unit which allows you to make phone calls too. The unit also includes Bluetooth technology so you can connect it to other devices such as smartphones and tablets via Wi-Fi.

There are some cons with this device, but they aren’t major ones. The price tag for one can be a little on the high end. Also, it cannot hold all of your favorite places.

The Best Rated Bike GPS Unit: Garmin Edge 810 (GPS)

Best Bike Computers - PURCH MARKETPLACE

This is the best bike GPS unit I have ever used. It has lots of useful features which can help you navigate around unfamiliar locations, avoid traffic areas, find food and drink places along your way, and much more!

One of the best things about this GPS navigator is that it can be mounted directly to your handle bars. You don’t have to clutter up your handle bars with a mounting bracket or something similar. Also, a second spare can be mounted on your helmet. The built in sensors allows you to accurately see how fast you are going, showing both your speed and the current altitude. You are able to see the time as well as your current location at all times.

The screen is very bright and easy to read, even in the daytime. It also comes preloaded with great maps of many different locations around the world!

The only negative thing about this unit is that during long rides it tends to run through the battery a little quicker than other devices I have used in the past. Of course, there is a solution to this problem. You can simply connect the GPS unit to an external battery pack. External battery packs can be bought at your local electronics store or online for fairly cheap.

The Best Bike Speedometer and Computer: Sigma BC 1606C (Digital)

This is the best bike speedometer and computer I have ever used. This device features an easy to read LED display. It is very accurate too. It can measure up to 35 MPH and can measure tenths of a mile. The stopwatch feature is also very useful.

Best Bike Computers - PurchMarketplace

This is one of the least expensive bike speedometers and computers on the market. It does everything you need a cycle computer to do, and it does it very well too. It’s water resistant, so you don’t have to worry about getting caught in the rain. The unit can be easily detached from your bike as well if you need to take it with you.

The only thing that some people may dislike about this cycle computer is that it requires a 20 x 22 mm button cell battery, which can be a little hard to find at times.

Other than that, this is a solid speedometer and a great value for the money. If you need a simple bike computer that gets the job done, the Sigma BC 1606C is for you.
