Easton Batteries are known for their quality products. They have been making bats since 1874. Their first product was called the “Bats” and it was made from wood with a metal handle. Since then they’ve added different materials like plastic, rubber, carbon fiber, etc., but they always stick to wood and metal because of its durability and strength.
The company’s main focus is still on bats, but they make other things too. For example, they manufacture golf clubs and even tennis rackets. They’re not just focused on bats though; they also produce various types of gloves and other equipment for sportsmen.
They use a number of different kinds of batteries including Lithium Ion (LiIon), Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) and Lead Acid (Pb). All these batteries have advantages and disadvantages. LiIon batteries are safer than NiCd or Pb. However, they’re much heavier and cost more.
In addition to the battery, there’s also the charger which you need to charge them up before using them again. Easton makes all these parts separately so that they don’t get in competition with each other. They also make a special coating for the batteries which prevents corrosion when used outside. Easton Batteries was established in 1874 by John Harold Easton. It was originally called the JH Easton Company and it is still commonly known as this today. The company originally manufactured wooden baseball bats, and the company’s first product (a bat called the “Bats”) is still used in various levels of baseball today.
The company started making metal bats in the 1920s. They were the first company to make these kinds of bats. Today they are one of only two companies that have been making them since the beginning (the other being Louisville Slugger).
Easton Batteries was acquired by ANSII in 2013 for $260 million. The acquisition had been in planning for over two years.
Easton Batteries are still manufactured in Van Nuys, California. The company has been based here since the 1950s.
The company primarily markets to baseball players and coaches at all levels. Their main customers are high schools and colleges, but they also target amateurs and professionals. They have had sponsorships with a few minor league teams and have been involved in youth baseball for years. They have thousands of products available on the market today.
Easton Batteries can trace its origins back to the famous “Batter-Up” baseball bat, which was first created in 1887 by founder John Henry Easton. Today the company manufactures more than 20,000 baseball products used by amateurs and professionals around the world.
In the late 1800s and early 1900s companies like JH Easton were responsible for manufacturing most of the equipment that was needed to play baseball. Since JH Easton was a small company, though, they couldn’t manufacture all the equipment needed by baseball players. This changed in the 1920s when large companies like Ford and General Motors started getting involved in manufacturing sporting equipment.
By 1975, 90% of all baseball equipment being used was manufactured by just one company: General Electric. Companies like JH Easton just couldn’t compete with these giant corporations.
JH Easton survived by focusing on a very specific market: high school and collegiate baseball. JH Easton thrived during this time because they were the only manufacturer making equipment for these levels of baseball. This was mainly because the large companies focused on manufacturing equipment that would be used by professionals, which made it too expensive for high schools and colleges to use.
By the late 1970s, though, JH Easton was struggling to compete with its main rival, Mountain Bell. Mountain Bell had deeper pockets than JH Easton and could afford to spend more on advertising. This resulted in Mountain Bell taking over the market share that JH Easton once had. In response, JH Easton increased their advertising and acquired smaller competitors to expand their product line.
These efforts didn’t help JH Easton regain the market share they once had, and in the early 1990s, JH Easton was bought out by another sporting-goods company: Wilson Sporting Goods.
A new era begins
The sale of JH Easton to Wilson sparked a new era for the company, with new owners came new ideas on how to run the company. After the buyout, JH Easton’s bat production moved from Los Angeles to Wilson’s headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. This new environment didn’t sit well with many of the employees working at JH Easton, so not many of them made the move. To fill these positions, Wilson had to hire new people.
