What are some things I should consider while choosing one?
What is your price range?
How much space do you have available?
How frequently will you be using it?
What kind of features do you need?
(Easy cleaning, travelling, storing, battery operated, etc.)
Do you prefer a single or double dispenser?
Does it need to be portable?
What is your favorite color?
How do these products work?
Almost all of the baby formula mixers work pretty much the same way. You pour either powder or liquid infant formula into the machine, add water, and press a button to dispense the exact amount that you need. It’s just that simple!
How do I clean these things?
Most of the time you can rinse it out with water and a little soap or put them in the dishwasher. Most are also safe to boil as well. You should always check the directions first for whichever model you are using though.
Which one of these is the best?
That’s a hard question to answer as what is the best for someone else may not be the best for you. Take a look at the list above and see if anything jumps out at you. If you want something simple and cheap, then perhaps the Gerber one would be best for you. If you want something that does everything except give your baby the formula, then perhaps the Beaba would be best. You might also just choose based on your favorite color or even designer label…as strange as that may seem.
Do I really need one of these?
That question is up to you. However, if you are frequently using formula and find yourself struggling to mix the powder with water in a cup or even a bottle, then perhaps one of these would be a good investment.
